Lucia Brauburger hat sich noch nie in eine Schublade stecken lassen. Ihr Leben mit Stationen in Rom, Berlin und New York ist ein einziges Experimentierfeld. Sie ist Unternehmerin, Buchautorin, Dozentin und Künstlerin in einer Person. Ihre künstlerische Schaffen betrachtet sie als komplementären Teil ihres Tuns: Auch hier liebt sie die Vielfalt. Auf der einen Seite schafft sie großformatige Arbeiten Acryl auf Leinwand und spitzfindige Collagen.  Auf der anderen Seite begeistert sie sich für die digitale Kunst.

Über ihre Arbeiten sagt sie:

„Meine Kunst weist in drei Richtungen.  Auf Basis gekratzter Linien und mutwillig aufgetragener Flächen schaffe ich  abstrakte Landschaften und Figurenkonstellationen, die auf archaisch anmutenden Formen aufbauen und zeitgenössische Bezüge bewusst aussparen. Sie zeigen eine Realität, die sich abhebt von Schnelllebigkeit, Nivellierung und Zukunftshörigkeit – weg vom Materiellen, Sichtbaren, Jetzt-zeitlichen hin zum immer schon gewesen und immer so sein.

Die zweite Gruppe meiner Arbeiten versteht sich als Abbildung meiner FEMALE PERSPECTIVE: Ich spiele mit prototypischen Darstellungen von Frauen, vermittle die beliebige Reproduzierbarkeit und Reduktion, die hinter diesen Darstellungen steckt. Die  collagenartige Verfremdung stellt eine Überspitzung dar.  Tatsächlich ist diese Überspitzung jedoch Teil der Wirklichkeit, mit der Frauen tagtäglich konfrontiert sind.

Mit meinen digitalen Arbeiten, die auf real existierenden Photographien und teilweise Jahrzehnte alten Werbematerialien beruhen, widme ich mich der Darstellung betont starker und selbstbewusster Frauen. Es war immer mein Ziel, mit meinem Tun als „role modell“ zu fungieren für Frauen, die ihren eigenen Weg gehen wollen. Auch meine Kunst bringt dies zum Ausdruck.“

Die in Mainz und der Toskana  lebende Künstlerin hat im Rahmen diverser nationaler und internationaler Ausstellungen bereits ein begeistertes Publikum gefunden. Im Jahr 2020 war sie Preisträgerin des Woman´s Essence Award 2020.

Lucia Brauburger has never allowed herself to be pigeonholed. Her life, with stations in Rome, Berlin and New York, is a single field of experimentation. She is an entrepreneur, book author, lecturer and artist all in one. She sees her artistic work as a complementary part of what she does: here, too, she loves diversity. On the one hand, she creates large-scale works acrylic on canvas and pointed collages. On the other hand, she is enthusiastic about digital art.

About her works she says:

„My art points in three directions. Based on scratched lines and wantonly applied surfaces, I create abstract landscapes and constellations of figures that build on archaic-looking forms and deliberately omit contemporary references. They show a reality that stands out from the fast pace of life, levelling out and the future – away from the material, the visible, the now-temporal and towards what has always been and what will always be.

The second group of my works is understood as an illustration of my FEMALE PERSPECTIVE: I play with prototypical representations of women, convey the arbitrary reproducibility and reduction that lies behind these representations. The collage-like alienation represents an exaggeration. In fact, however, this exaggeration is part of the reality that women are confronted with every day.

With my digital works, which are based on real-life photographs and sometimes decades-old advertising material, I dedicate myself to the portrayal of strong and self-confident women. It has always been my goal to act as a role model for women who want to go their own way. My art also expresses this.“

The artist, who lives in Mainz and Tuscany, has already found an enthusiastic audience in the context of various national and international exhibitions. In 2020, she was the winner of the Woman’s Essence Award 2020.

Lucia Brauburger non si è mai lasciata incasellare. La sua vita, con stazioni a Roma, Berlino e New York, è un unico campo di sperimentazione. È imprenditrice, autrice di libri, conferenziera e artista, tutto in uno. Vede il suo lavoro artistico come una parte complementare di ciò che fa: anche in questo caso, ama la diversità. Da un lato, crea opere di grandi dimensioni in acrilico su tela e collage appuntiti. Dall’altro, è entusiasta dell’arte digitale.

A proposito delle sue opere dice:

„La mia arte punta in tre direzioni. Basandomi su linee graffiate e superfici volutamente applicate, creo paesaggi astratti e costellazioni di figure che si basano su forme dall’aspetto arcaico e omettono deliberatamente i riferimenti contemporanei. Mostrano una realtà che si distingue dal ritmo veloce della vita, dal livellamento e dal futuro – lontano dal materiale, dal visibile, dall’ora-temporale e verso ciò che è sempre stato e che sarà sempre.

Il secondo gruppo di opere è inteso come un’illustrazione della mia PROSPETTIVA FEMMINILE: gioco con le rappresentazioni prototipiche delle donne, trasmettendo l’arbitraria riproducibilità e riduzione che si cela dietro queste rappresentazioni. L’alienazione da collage rappresenta un’esagerazione. In realtà, però, questa esagerazione fa parte della realtà con cui le donne si confrontano ogni giorno.

Con le mie opere digitali, che si basano su fotografie reali e talvolta su materiale pubblicitario vecchio di decenni, mi dedico alla rappresentazione di donne forti e sicure di sé. Il mio obiettivo è sempre stato quello di fungere da modello per le donne che vogliono seguire la propria strada. La mia arte esprime anche questo“.

L’artista, che vive a Magonza e in Toscana, ha già trovato un pubblico entusiasta nel contesto di varie mostre nazionali e internazionali. Nel 2020 è stata la vincitrice del Woman’s Essence Award 2020.
